Survey
A survey is a workshop of a few days in which we explore together with the customer what advantages Pluriform could deliver for that customer.
For customers looking for a better information system we do a survey with the customer to find out what his needs are, in which steps they could be reached and how much effort is expected for each step.
For customers considering to extend their current Pluriform system, we can carry out a survey, in that case to estimate the steps and amount of work to realize that extension.
A survey is not a paperwork excercise. As a rule, during the survey we start modeling (=building) the required system, starting with the pieces that are most uncertain or difficult. When necessary, we explore different alternative solutions, so we can together estimate the pros and cons of such alternatives, after which we can better decide which path to take.
The result of a survey is the first (or next) version of the (new) information system and a roadmap for the next steps. The roadmap is ‘short sighted’: functionality with the highest priority is described in more detail than the rest of the functionality
A survey is the first step in a row that leads to a complete information system. Even after completing the system we realise extensions and alterations in the same step wise manner. For each step a Timebox is composed and agreed.
