The new release of Pluriform (2011.2) is ready!
Release 2011.2 is characterized by the many new improvements, but also by the new innovations and features available such as the new e-mail (HTML) editor that allows HTML email to be send, received and archived, Teamwork Web Access gives you anytime, anywhere access to your e-mail, contacts and appointments and new features in management reports.
These and other highlights of release 2011.2 are available on the community website under the tab 'Release'. All other modifications and improvements are described in so-called changelogs, which you can review under the same tab.
Updating to the new release depends on the release schedule of your Pluriform Partner. For these, and other questions, please contact your Pluriform Partner.

Pluriform growth in 2010
Growing number of Pluriform subscribersIn 2010 the number of Pluriform subscribers grew with 4%.
Healthy growth for our PartnersThe total Pluriform license turnover through our partners in 2010 was 12% higher than in 2009, showing the increased usage of Pluriform by existing customers. Best results were for
Adapcare (+135%) with Pluriform HealthCare and for
Bouwinfosys (+12%) with their Pluriform solutions for Constructors, Installers and Schooling in that industry. Also worth mentioning is the international deployment of our new Remote Webclient application for Pluriform for Charity at
Warchild and the
Liliane Fund, enabling offline communication with many developing countries about the many thousands of children they are sponsoring.
Liliane Foundation 'go-live' with Pluriform for Charity
We would like to congratulate the Liliane Foundation and our partner Matthat Software with the 'go-live' of 'Pluriform for Charity' at the Liliane Foundation. The Liliane Foundation will use 'Pluriform for Charity' for enterprise-wide automation of aid and fundraising in 24 countries.
The Liliane Foundation want to achieve their goal, helping 100,000 children per year, with the help of 'Pluriform for Charity'. Kees van den Broek, director at the Liliane Foundation, "With 'Pluriform for Charity' we are able to improve efficiency, and to link incoming donations to projects and the resulting goals much easier and more transparently."

The new release of Pluriform, 2010.2 release is ready!
Release 2010.2 is characterized by the many improvements and adjustments which have been made, but also by the new applications now available.
Pluriform includes such new features for creating management reports, schedules, budgets, graphics and mailings.

New Dutch coalition and a parallel with Pluriform
Our (Dutch) government wants to 'remobilize the Netherlands' - with the slogan Freedom and Resonsibility. The analysis and intentions in the coalition treaty show remarkable parallels to our Pluriform approach: give back the responsibility over their work to professionals in public areas as Safety and Healthcare.
The Pluriform method gives all handles needed to

- continuously manage variations and changes.
We have been doing this over 20 years in differing sectors: law firms, construction companies, charity fund raising, health institutions, but also the world's largest credit insurer.

Harmonized use of Pluriform in Latin America
To harmonize the procedures, and the possiblities of Pluriform, a workshop was held by Euler Hermes in Sao Paulo.
The activities of Euler Hermes are supported by Pluriform in 28 countries all over the world. To harmonize the procedures, and the possibillities of Pluriform in the 5 Latin Americas countries, a workshop was held.
The workshop, hosted by Euler Hermes (Americas and The Netherlands), was held for the delegates of 5 Latin American countries and is part of the global project "One Euler Hermes', pillars of which are stability, standardization and harmonization of processes and procedures around the world within Euler Hermes.
The workshop topics: sharing of best practices, agreeing about general procedures and how to use the advanced capabilities of the system. A week later, these users where certified as "local super users".
Since the workshop, the local "super users" held training sessions in their homecountry about these general procedures and to teach how best use the potential of Pluriform.

Release 2010.1 available
Documents to Excel
So far, many documents could be printed to screen or printer, or saved as a file, but not exported directly to Microsoft Excel.
Release 2010.1 introduces the ability to export documents directly to Excel for some documents. This allows you to edit the information further more, for instance management reports, in a way that best suits your needs.

Pluriform 64-bits
In release 2010.1 the Pluriform client is also available in a 64-bits version¹.
The 64-bit versions ability of using the resources of the operating system are enhanced, making the performance a little better. The limited memory space of a 32-bit client may in some cases set a limit to the performance of Pluriform. In the 64-bit client no practical memory limitation exists.
An example is printing or displaying large documents. The 64-bit client is no longer confined by the memory limit that exists for the 32-bit version. Because this restriction is not imposed in the 64-bit client, it improves the performance of the 64-bit client.
¹ You can only use the 64-bits version if you have a 64-bit operating system. You can verify this by looking at the properties of the icon "Computer" on your desktop.

E-mail notificatie framework
Within the module E-mail integration a new framework is introduced for defining automatic e-mail notifications.
Automatic e-mail notifications can be deployed to other users with information on events in Pluriform. Think of an e-mail to the IT-manager if certain errors occurred or a notification if new information on a patient is available for a health care professional.
Within the notification framework, notification templates can defined. For each template, you can:
- Define what objects (events) should be notified.
- Create subscribtions for (who receives) the email-notifications.
- Determine on what time interval the e-mails should be sent (e.g. every 30 minutes, every day or every week).
Monitoring time intervals and sending the e-mail is handled automatically by the Pluriform engine.

Pluriform User Interface 2010
The Pluriform User interface is improved in release 2010.1 and Teamwork is given a brand new design.
Windows Forms was introduced in release 2009.2 and uses .NET components. These components are extended and new functionality is added to the user interface. A example of this is the possibility to show help icons on attributes. Also the generation of dialogs by the Pluriform engine is improved and Teamwork is given a brand new design.

Load balancing
In release 2010.1 load balancing for webconnectors is added to Pluriform.
In previous versions, a user was linked to a webconnector. From that moment on, all tasks executed by the user where sent to that specific webconnector. If the webconnector was busy, this approach could lead to delays, even if others webconnectors where less busy at that moment.
In release 2010.1, when a webconnector is busy, the task will be directed to another available, but less busy, webconnector. This approach will minimize delays and it will make better use of the available webconnectors.

Web Applications
In release 2010.1, the class Web Application is added. This class functions as starting point for a collection of web frameworks.
For some time now, it has been possible to call other web framework functionality from a web framework through use of sub-frameworks. However, since these sub-frameworks are web frameworks themselves it was easy to lose track of which web framework was the topmost framework and, as such, which global settings would be effectuated.
To improve this situation, the class Web Application has been added in 2010.1. This class provides a single point of entry for a collection of web frameworks and offers an overview of the used sub-frameworks and how they are related. Furthermore this class now contains all the global settings so that it is immediately clear which values are used.

Pluriform growth in 2009
Growing number of Pluriform subscribers
In januari 2010 Pluriform had 6% more subscribers than 12 months earlier.
Healthy operation for our Partners
The Pluriform license turnover through our partners in 2009 was 29% higher than in 2008.
This growth varied per partner between 10% and 400%.
No recession in Pluriform usage
Subscribers pay for Pluriform to their use. Total usage grew in the first quarter of 2009 with 12% compared to 2009.
Per partner this varied between 3% and 400%.

Web Framework extensions
The webframework enables the development of a web user interface for Pluriform. This framework is used not only for new webapplications, but also for the (partial) replacement of the existing windows user interface.
There are several extensions of the webframework. These extensions allow an easier (partial) replacement of the windows user interface. Some examples of these extensions.
- Support for tabbed pages in the web userinterface.
- Extended navigation options.
- Support for integrating existing tasks and documents (with PDF/HTML-output).
- Searching in listboxes is enabled.
- Extended layout and formatting possibilities in the texteditor. Support for bold/italic texts, bulleted lists and building blocks.

Contact registration
In version 2009.2 the registration of contactmoments has been improved. This change follows the introduction of the new correspondence framework in 2009.1
The following changes have been made:
- Outgoing correspondence is written and sent from the same window. This gives a better access to the message actual sent.
- Each type of contact has its own form, especially designed for the medium involved. The registration of a telephone call is different from the way an appointment or outgoing correspondence is registered.
- For retrieving contacts a new registration is available: Contact moment. This shows all contacts with an organization in chronological order.

Email invoices
With the new correspondence framework you'll have new opportunities to communicatie with your customers or suppliers. These advantages have been used for sending invoices.
You can register at each debtor if you want to sent invoices by email or that you still want to sent them by mail. By emailing you will achieve not only an efficiency improvement (it is not necessary to put letters in envelopes), but also:
- A shorter pass through: an invoice arrives in seconds instead of days.
- A more efficient process at the customer: the invoice is available as an image and can be distributed very easy.
Besides emailing a pdf-file, it is also possible to attach a structured (xml) file at the email message. If processing software is available, the invoice can be automatically imported in the financial administration.

Event Monitor: new possibilities
The event monitor is available for administrators. This monitor gives an overview of the Pluriform system. It also allows you to get a detailed overview of a situation when dealing with incidents.
The eventmonitor has several new features:
- Extended filter options for displaying systemlogs. It is now also possible to filter these logs based on a part of a day (a time interval).
- New tabs with information about active users and the activities they have undertaken. These overviews also support the extended filter options.
With these new options it is easier to analyze problems: - All necessary information is available in one screen without the need for seperate selections in other screens.
- Errors can be marked as 'solved'. Unsolved errors can be filtered from all logs.

ICP declaration 2010
Starting january 1st, 2010 all services for customers in other EU-countries should be included in the ICP declaration (EC Sales list).
The European Community has agreed that legislation dealing with taxes should be simplified. This means that:
- The Dutch name changes from ICL to ICP. A name change was needed because services are also added to the EC sales list (in addition to the declaration of goods).
- Organizations should send ICP declarations on a monthly basis instead of each quarter
- Starting january 1st, also services are considered to be part of the ICP declaration.
- In the declaration itself, for each line should be mentioned that it is a delivery of goods, a service or an ABC-delivery.

Dynamic add columns
Pluriform offers the possibility of creating selections and customizing the layoutsby selecting the columns. Adding columns to new and existing selections has been improved.
Not only is adding or deleting columns for end users more easy, but also these actions are stored. This means each user can set-up its own user interface.
Advantages:
- In the selection of invoices a project manager will add the column "project", while the bookkeeper is more interested in the due date.
- In the selection of organizations, the marketing department want to see the ABC-classification, while the purchase department is more interested in the latest supplier assesment.

Budgets
Within Pluriform you can define a budget for each ledger and booking period. In this budget you can vary on cost centre. The budget values are (optionally) calculated on financial reports (such as "Accounts" and "Period Summary").
In this release the following changes have taken place:
- Entry of budgets is improved and provide a better insight in the details of the total budget.
- Budget allocation formulae are more easy to define and can be assigned from the budget entry view.
- You can define one or more budgetversions, so tracing changes during a book year is possible.
- You have to authorize a budget, before it will appear on financial reports.
- The logic handling budget is part of the new module Budgets.

Book other currencies
The several subadministrations can not only registered in euros, but also in other currencies. For example the invoices you have sent to customers in other countries. In this version we have taken a closer look to these "other currencies".
Dating from the 1990's, the registration of invoices and purchase invoices contains other currencies. Beside invoices, in the branche model "Pluriform Not for profit" a subsidary administration is added.
Especially in the subsidary administration, long term obligations with high values in other currencies occur. For example a subsidary of 100,000 USD over a period of 2 years. Fluctuations in the rate of the dollar have consequences for the value of this obligation.
With this release, the following has been changed:
- A new module is available to realign assets and debts.
- On a journalitem values are stored in bookkeeping currency as well as other currencies.
- Logic for payments are refactored and are based on the currency of invoices.

Leave and absence
The registration of employees in Pluriform contains a extensive registration of leave and absences. This module is expanded with the registration of settlements.
Often, it occurs that leave is exchanged for a financial reward. Until now, you could change the total amount of time. From now on it is posible to specify in more detail the time exchanged.

Pluriform Zorg ontvangt keurmerk BSN RB/IV+
Op 28 september 2009 heeft Pluriform Zorg het keurmerk BSN RB/IV+ ontvangen. Dit betekent dat Pluriform Zorg voldoet aan alle wensen en aanbevelingen die gelden ten aanzien van het gebruik van BSN in de zorg.
New Correspondence framework
From release 2009.1 a new correspondenceframework is available. The correspondenceframework is a complete new framework that supports the setup and execution of your outgoing correspondence.
The base of the correspondence framework is a new class "Outgoing corrrespondence". All your invoices, letters, e-mails etc are being archived as an outgoing correspondence.
The most important advantages are:
Archiving and history: each correspondence that you send, is archived as "Outgoing correspondence". The exact content is stored; you can always reprint or resend the documents. It is also possible to archive outgoing correspondences as contact.
Correspondence with several documents: within one correspondence you can specify several documents: e.g. a correspondence that contains a covering letter, a main document and one or more enclosures.
Working with concepts: better support for creating and editing concepts; for each letter or document you can specify whether changes are allowed before printing or e-mailing. Editing and finalizing concepts has been made easier for end users
Configuring addressing: the end user now gets advanced features setting up addressees. You can define organizations and persons as "Involved party"; for each involved party, you can specifiy preferences (e.g. preferred medium, style or different address label)
SMS integration
A new module
SMS integration has been introduced in Pluriform 2009.1.
SMS-integration enables you to inform people concerned in a very effectieve manner. For instance, you might inform your employees on the last changes in the planning, or inform your customers about urgent matters, or inform the system administrator about unexpected events. You could even go further and offer online checking in for flights or offer SMS train tickets.
Sending SMS-messages can lead to substantial improvements in efficency. Recently this feature has been deployed to support the communication of planning details. Using SMS-messaging in stead of phone calls saved four hours a day.
SMS intgration enables the sending of SMS-messages based on HTTP-API:
Main features- define your SMS provider
- implement messages and codes for send and delivery status;
- registration of your SMS account(s);
- archiving of all outgoing SMS-messages.
Advantages of SMS-intergration- automatic integration in your relation management (Teamwork);
- simply to integrate in your business processes;
- provider-independent;
- each Pluriform system can interface with its preferred sms gateways (through an HTTP-API).
Example applications- inform planned employees;
- notify the system administrator when backup has failed;
- remind employees to complete their time spendings

Redactron draait nu als een Zwitsers uurwerk
In samenwerking met Redactron (www.redactron.nl) heeft Adapcare bedrijfsbrede functionaliteit voor leveranciers van zorghulpmiddelen ontwikkeld. Deze functionaliteit is volledig geïntegreerd in Pluriform Zorg.
ZIS-Koppeling gerealiseerd in regio Tilburg
Pluriform Software heeft samen met Getronics en de Tilburgse Ziekenhuizen een ZIS-koppeling gerealiseerd op basis van HL7-berichtenuitwisseling. Hierdoor hoeven de zorgprofessionals geen patient- en opnamegegevens meer handmatig te registreren; al deze gegevens worden automatisch aangeleverd vanuit de informatiesystemen binnen de ziekenhuizen en ingelezen in het Patient Volg Systeem (PVS).
Enorme efficiencywinst door eTOD
In 2007 is in de regio Tilburg het papieren overdrachtsdossier binnen de CVA-keten vervangen door een digitaal dossier, het elektronisch Digitaal Overdrachts Dossier (eTOD). Uit onderzoek is gebleken dat eTOD binnen de Tilburgse CVA-keten een aanzienlijke efficiencywinst heeft opgeleverd: in de ziekenhuizen is een tijdsbesparing van 59 minuten per dossier gemeten. In de herstelunits leveren de elektronische formulieren van eTOD een tijdwinst van maar liefst 70 minuten per dossier op!

Pluriform Care provides functionality which is used among Health Care organization such as hospitals, homecare and is now used by hundreds of care professionals at dozens of Health Care organizations.

Certified Microsoft ISV Solution
We recently reconfirmed our ISV/Software Solutions Competency as part of our Microsoft Certified Partnership.
This confirms our expertise in developing software solutions based on Microsoft technology. Pluriform is developed for the Microsoft Platform with Visual Studio 2005 and has a tight integration with widely used Microsoft products like Word and Excel.
Also in august the 2006.2 releases of our Pluriform Server and Client have been certified for the Windows Server 2003 family and the Windows Client platform.

Making telephone calls with Pluriform
Do you recognize this? You make use of Pluriform to manage your contacts. When you want to call someone, you look up the right number in Pluriform after which you key in the number. Wouldn't it be handy if you could make calls from Pluriform?
In release 2006.1 (February 2006), this will be possible as telephony will be fully integrated in Pluriform. A person or organization can be called from the CRM module. Furthermore, Pluriform recognizes the number of an incoming call and immediately shows the corresponding person or organization. You save time and improve your customer-orientation.
The telephone solution of Pluriform Software has been developed together with
Swyx, a German producer of telephone exchanges The exchange of Swyx is software-based, runs on a normal Windows Server and supports VOIP (Voice Over IP). The Swyx solution supports all common functions including call connection requests, personal voice mails, call authorization, call switching processes and the management of group calls.
TeamWork: all correspondence integrated
Pluriform TeamWork is de geïntegreerde correspondentiemodule van Pluriform. Met TeamWork is het mogelijk e-mails te verzenden en te ontvangen, brieven en faxen te versturen, telefoongesprekken te voeren en alle binnenkomende correspondentie op een eenvoudige manier te archiveren.
